While at the University of Wisconsin, I spent a year reporting for the award-winning local television news station WISC-TV News 3 in Madison, WI. Below are a selection of my greatest hits.
During the fall of 2014 I spent five months researching, attending municipal meetings and interviewing stakeholders in an attempt to chronicle and investigate what had caused Madison, Wis. to become ground zero for one of the worst crises of homelessness in America. The project culminated in a 7,000+ word eBook, produced in conjunction with the Atavist.
Serving as Sports Editor at one of the country’s leading student newspapers, The Daily Cardinal, I received the 2014 sports reporting award in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest, as well as another award for best video sports story from the Milwaukee Press Club.
